FARM FRESH FRIDAY ON THE ROAD

Last night we were over to see my uncles new palace in Algonquin.  Congrats Kirby and Gina!  They had some beautiful kabobs with vesuvio potatoes...it was a sweet house warming.

We brought over some of the fresh tomatoes and basil from the box, some country wheat bread and our new favorite cheese, burrata!

Cut the bread in half the long way, drizzle some olive oil on the surface and toss on the grill for about 5 minutes or until it's black and crusty on outer edges and golden in the middle...not very long..don't burn it!

Layer cut tomatoes with a basil leaf and a chunk of burrata...voila!

Had some nice foccacia.

Kabobs on the grill, perfectly done.

Little chicken and little beef, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked.

Perfect medium rare throughout.

Kirby missed his calling, look at that pour.
